The CTLC Lithium Battery Charger series is a state of the art and extremely
sophisticated product line. The series has a standard a SMBus Level 1 interface and Level II and Level III interfaces are available. Several programmable control and monitoring signals independent of the SMBus signals are also available. This coupled with an environmentally rugged package, FCC and Cispr 22 compliant and UL/CSA certification results in a product especially suited for demanding industrial and military applications. The maximum output power the series is 400W depending upon the input and output voltage combination.
In order to meet the upcoming demand of green technology along with many transportation and vehicle applications it has even a broader DC input range than our standard CKV series. Our most popular DC input models are the 24V and 48V inputs. However, we also offer DC inputs voltages any where is the range of 12-400VDC. The CTLC series precisely regulates the charging voltage and current under control of an SMBus smart battery to insure a complete and precise recharge cycle every time. The operation of the charger is controlled by an embedded microcontroller that contains firmware developed by and proprietary to Chargetek. A user friendly LED display indicates charging conditions, battery status and AC and DC output conditions.
The Chargetek Lithium Ion series is easily programmed to accommodate custom firmware and auxiliary control and monitoring signals that the application may require. The output noise and ripple (PARD) is less than 1% of output voltage for any configuration. The product family is comprised of a number of voltage/current combinations, including 2S, 4S, 8S, 10S and 12S applications as well as many custom configurations for lower or higher battery pack voltages. This product line is available in 110VAC or 220VAC operation or a universal input of 85VAC to 264VAC with maximum load near unity power factor of .99. The mechanical packaging is very versatile, reliable, rugged, fan cooled and extremely compact and lightweight at less than 7 pounds. Several AC and DC connection options are available. The charger can be mounted securely in several orientations. The standard operating temperature range (-20C to 60) fits most applications. For more demanding military and industrial requirements the product line has an extended temperature range version of -40 to 85C. The product line is also available in our fully encapsulated waterproof extrusions upon request.
Several very critical and important protection features are standard with the entire product family. These features include Reverse Polarity Protection, over current and over voltage protection and two layers of thermal shut-down for a fault tolerant temperature protection. The product family comes standard with a two year warranty.
