DC/DC battery chargers

Our DPIC product line is designed for applications requiring DC input. The standard product DC input range is 10VDC-80VDC. We also offer an extended input/output range of up to 450VDC upon request. Each model can operate over a wide input range, as is commonly the situation with solar panels and wind turbines, which experience wide voltage fluctuations. This series is especially suited for alternative energy power sources including fuel cell, solar and wind power, on board vehicle applications, and other systems requiring DC power systems. The DPIC series implements a four stage charge algorithm including an equalization stage. Equalization extends battery life and aids in maintaining capacity (see this presentation for more information). The DPIC series is available in both waterproof and fan cooled versions. User defined optional relay signal contacts are available upon request.

New rapid charge technology

Chargetek has introduced true rapid charging which is unmatched in the industry today. Battery recharge times have been reduced by factors of two to three without damage or overheating to the battery. See this section for more information.
